Our founder, Rev. Robert S. Hallett, pioneered the ministry approach to church fund raising in the mid-80's while working for another company. They emphasized raising money, and overlooked the great potential of a capital campaign to enhance the ministry efforts of the local church. TLC's calling is to develop ministry while raising major funds for local churches.
TLC's ministry approach goes far beyond doing some spiritual-oriented things and talking about spiritual values. The basic premise of TLC's ministry approach is to conduct everything in the Scriptural Funding Campaign from the perspective of ministry both by and to the church people. This helps people determine the most appropriate decisions about their giving, and to do so in the context of a Scriptural foundation, a personal stewardship journey, relational dynamics, and helping the church fulfill its mission.
Most people think giving is a financial issue. We understand that giving starts in the heart, not in the checkbook. So we have looked at what motivates the heart to give. At TLC, we address stewardship issues with experience, understanding, sensitivity, and a scriptural foundation.
We also understand it will take a higher motivation for people to change their spending and giving habits to allow them to give at a level that is sacrificial for them. It takes more than a suggestion and a request, it takes both a change of heart and a change of lifestyle.
