The name of TLC Ministries was chosen carefully to convey who we really are. While there are no words associated with the TLC, we wanted people to assume the obvious. The TLC part of our name was selected to communicate the fact that we understand the sensitive issues in church fund raising. Our gentle, scriptural approach will enable your church to raise the most funds possible, and still leave your people feeling good about the process. The impact of our Scriptural Funding Campaign is designed to go far beyond the raising of funds to the building of your people. It will greatly enhance the ministry efforts of your church, provide an ideal format to mentor your leaders, and edify the believers in their Christian journey.
The Ministries part of our name was chosen to reflect the real nature of our approach. When Rev. Hallett was working with another company in the mid-80's, he realized the potential for the capital campaign was far more than mere fund raising. It provided an ideal opportunity for spiritual growth, ministry development, and an increased commitment level among the church people. He started developing this approach, slowly at first because there were no models for the ministry approach in church capital campaigns, and then fully expanded it when he started TLC Ministries in 1990. One of TLC's core values from the beginning was that the ministry approach would always remain predominant in our capital campaigns.
In an approach clearly distinct from that offered by any other group, TLC's Scriptural Funding Campaign will produce long-term, life-changing results. Our Consultants are ministers whose specific assignment is to help churches raise major funds. We are not fund raisers who do some ministry-type things.
