"Their [TLC's] approach is distinctly refreshing and brought spiritual renewal to many of our members. Our initial commitments toward the campaign represent 6.6 times our annual income."
"The TLC Ministry plan was used by God for a financial miracle and we have discovered new leadership through the campaign as well."
Rev. Robert S. Hallett is an experienced funding consultant with a steadfast call to the Christian ministry. He was born and raised in the small rural community of Millville in New Brunswick, Canada. He came to faith in Christ in 1962 at the age of 15, was called to the ministry a few months later, and started preaching as pulpit supply later that year at the age of 16.
His formal training includes Bethany Bible College (Sussex, NB – Ministerial Diploma), Indiana Wesleyan University (Marion, IN – B.A. in Theology), Anderson (IN) School of Theology, Asbury Theological Seminary (Wilmore, KY – M.Div.), and Trinity International University (Deerfield, IL – D.Min program).
He was ordained in 1970 (The Wesleyan Church), pastored for several years in the Midwest, and transitioned to this ministry of church fund raising in 1985. He worked with another company for four years, becoming one of their Senior Consultants, and then worked in the development department of Wheaton (IL) College until 1990 when he started TLC Ministries. His calling and commitment to the ministry has given him a tender heart that helps him keep the ministry of fund raising predominant in every capital campaign. He has given direct leadership to hundreds of successful capital campaigns throughout North America.
He founded TLC Ministries with the firm conviction that every decision to give is primarily a spiritual decision before it is expressed financially. Thus, the campaigns are designed to build the spiritual strength of the people before they decide what to give.
His heart's desire is to help each church realize its dreams and ministry opportunities through the Scriptural Funding Campaign, to raise the major funds they need for their facilities, and to develop more responsive stewardship disciples among their people.
